WATCH ME!

Start every training session by getting your dog’s attention.  There is no point spending time training your dog if he is not focused on you.

FINISH COMMAND

We recommend to finish each exercise with a “FINISHING COMMAND” so your dog knows immediately that he has performed the action you have requested of him.

To have a well controlled dog, the three commands are every day necessities, in and out of your home!

POWER CUE

One of the most effective means of re-focusing your dog is to "counter condition". This involves teaching your dog to focus on you and turn away from the distraction in return for a high value "treat or toy"

COME/RECALL!

Your dog should have excellent recall before you let him off the lead so that you have control of your dog in public places. 

It is not only dog aggression that can cause problems in public places.

LEAVE IT AND RETRIEVE

Every day commands for when you want your dog to leave the furniture or dangerous item alone, or when you want him to retrieve the fun toy during play time.

STOP THE DOG!

"Stop the dog" is a very important exercise to teach your dog and can potentially save your dogs life. For example, if your dog ran across the road, you would not want to recall it, you would want it to stop there until you could go and make it safe.
